It takes about 30 to 45 minutes: up to 30 questions in German (grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening) that adapt to your answers, then a short writing task and a short speaking task. No account needed.
Before you start
- Part 1: up to 30 questions, about 30 minutes at most. Part 2: one short writing task in German (6 to 18 minutes, depending on your level). Part 3: two short spoken answers in German of up to a minute each (optional: you need a microphone).
- Answer on your own, without a dictionary or translator: the result is only useful if it is yours.
- Turn the sound on for the listening questions.
- Results above B2 show as B2+: the course currently ends at B2.
This is a placement result to choose your starting point, not a certificate, an official exam grade or a Goethe exam result. Writing and speaking are marked by AI. We keep your answers for 30 days, then delete them; recordings are deleted as soon as they are turned into text. Privacy policy
